About The Model 162

The 162 had a relatively short production window (1929 and 1935). Co-developed with Siemens (a version of their ‘Neophone’), it was a landmark design for the British General Post Office (GPO) as their first "all-in-one" handset telephone, moving away from the "candlestick" style where the transmitter and receiver were separate.
