About This Phone
Unlike the rigid American "candlestick" phones of the era, the French preferred adjustable arms. This model features a very fine, curved transmitter arm and was often equipped with a "cornet" or "hygienic" handset. It was a high-end desk instrument used by the French elite and in government offices before the PTT (Poste, Télégraphe et Téléphone) moved toward more boring, standardized models.
