The 1000 is nicknamed 'the Redbar' for its bright red hook switch actuator plunger. Produced from 1947-1957, during the 50th anniversary year of this family-owned company. Similar in size and shape to Western Electric's 302, Stromberg Carlson's 1243, and Automatic Electric's 40.
