Shaver 12 Button Desk Set

This Shaver desk set model was introduced right after the "Dolphin" base in 1899. This telephone has 12 buttons and is set up for connections with 12 other inter-office telephones. You can see from the sketches off of the scan from the original patent application how this model is different from the Dolphin base. It has a beautiful round wooden body and the early watch case receiver. The patent was issued May 16, 1899.
