Introduced in 1948, this phone had a dial drum instead of the usual rotary disc. It was faster than dialing with a rotary dial, but not as reliable and more expensive to manufacture. This phone also featured a vertically placed handset which prevents the user from operating the dial prematurely. Production ended around 1955.
