Green AE40 With Gold Trim

The AE 40 is probably the most recognized and collected Automatic Electric phone. Made from bakelite, it was produced from 1939 through the 1950s. The AE 40 made a cameo appearance in the 1999 movie, The Matrix. Usually labelled 'Monophone' on base.

Variations: Plain black or colored bakelite body; silver, brass or gold brushed handset bands and finger wheels, butler's handle, deluxe extensicord.
